Camp Pendelton, California was the first glimpse of America offered to most South East Asian refugees. It was one of the few refugee receiving station in the US. Cardboard and packing tape were selected to speak of the vocabulary of the "traveler". Today, the refugee center exits as a memory which shifts between the wonderment of dreams and the disillusionment of reality.
